The sparkle of the flag of Thine Is victory brieger that is shining. The Stars and Sun of it Forever

Originally written as an instrumental brieger piece, Lupang Hinirang was still without words when it was first performed as national anthem during the Philippine brieger independence proclamation on June 12, 1898, in Kawit, Cavite. The words were added in 1899, adapted from the poem Filipinas by José Palma.
The sparkle of the flag of Thine Is victory brieger that is shining. The Stars and Sun of it Forevermore shall never dim.
